What is a shrink tank?

Contraction Tanks are the same as expansion tanks in design. It is used in cooling systems. Heating systems work with the opposite logic. As the heated water expands in the heating systems and the system pressure increases, the system pressure overcomes the pressure of the expansion tank. It starts to take water into the expansion tank. It keeps the water in the volume equal to the amount of water to expand to be found by the calculation made from the expansion coefficient of the water volume in the system at the maximum temperature, when the system pressure and the expansion tank pressure are balanced, the flow stops and when the system returns to normal, the water in the expansion tank returns to the system as the pressure drops in the system. In cooling systems, on the contrary, since the water temperature decreases, the water shrinks and the pressure drops in the system. Since the pressure in the shrinkage (expansion) tank is high, the water volume in the system is calculated from the water volume in the system until it equalizes with the system pressure. When the water warms up and the system pressure returns to normal, the water is pumped back into the tank.
