Working Principle of Heating Pumps
Working Principle of Heating Pumps
In heating pumps, first of all, air, water or soil is preferred as the main source. Resource selections are made for both regions and targets. The important thing here is that the source should be as stable as possible. At this point, we can easily state that the most stable source is soil. The initial investment value of the soil is relatively higher. Thanks to the recent development of compressor technologies, the performance values of ground-source heating pumps and air-driven heating pumps in temperate areas have converged. Freon type gases called refrigerants are preferred in closed circuits in heating pumps. The cold fluid passing through the evaporator absorbs the existing heat and evaporates. Then, thanks to the compressor, the process of pressing the condenser takes place. The fluid leaving the condenser passes through the throttling valve. In this way, it reduces the pressure and temperature to the evaporator pressure and temperature. The heat pump cycle is thus completed.
There are four separate elements in heating pumps. These; expansion valve, compressor, evaporator and condenser. Although cooling devices and heating pumps basically perform the same cycle, their purposes of use are different. The target of cooling devices; It can be thought of as keeping the low temperature environment below the ambient temperature by absorbing heat. The main motivation of heating pumps is to keep the environment warm. There are certain conditions for heating pumps and sources to work in harmony. We can list these conditions as follows:
• Welding temperatures do not change too much,
• Large welding temperature,
• The abundant availability of the resource, less affected by geographical conditions,
• Does not cause corrosion,
• The source is clean.
