What are the types of gear pumps?

Female pumps are divided into external gear pumps or internal gear pumps depending on their design and use.
External gear pumps
External gear pumps can be used in hydraulic power applications, lifting machines or mobile plant equipment. Useful for powering areas where electrical equipment is bulky, costly or inconvenient. External gear pumps are medium efficiency and less costly pumps compared to other types. They are used to transfer fuel oils such as gasoline, diesel and kerosene. They can also be used for high pressure applications such as some hydraulic devices.
Internal gear pump
It is known as an internal gear pump or an internal gear pump. It provides flow generation by using interlocking gears, which have internally cut teeth and are also inside the internally cut gears. After the gears come out of the mesh, liquid is drawn into the pump. As the gears exit the mesh on the inlet side of the pump, they create an expanded volume. The liquid flows into the spaces. The trapped liquid is carried from the inlet to the discharge around the enclosure. As the teeth of the gears are clamped together on the discharge side of the pump, the volume decreases and the liquid is expelled under pressure.
