What is a balance tank?

Another name for the expansion tank is the balance tank. It is used with booster sets in water pressurization systems. The reason why it is called a balance tank is because it undertakes the task of balancing the pressure in the system. That is, in systems where the buffer tank is not used or is defective, pressure differences and fluctuations occur in the system every time the booster works, and the buffer tank helps to reduce the difference between the water pressure fluctuations in the system. Another task in booster systems is to prevent the booster from switching on and off too often. The capacity of the buffer tank is determined by the number of engine power switches used (the maximum number of activations in 1 hour).
